Death Angel

In love with music from birth, I was a mere 9 years old when my parents bought me a set of drums, then patiently took me to lessons and endured a year of "learning rhythm skills"... the LOUD way! Problem was I couldn't practice at night due to the sheer volume so eventually I seized my dads' guitar that always seemed to be around the house. Now I could practice any time. That acoustic found itself a new institution in my hands.

At the age of 11, I began taking lessons on a "C" Series Electric guitar. That was when I discovered my true passion and that I could express myself through music. At 13 years, armed with a Gibson Flying V, I formed my first band with my cousins, and Death Angel was born. We conquered the world with our original brand of Bay Area Thrash, releasing our debut album “The Ultra-Violence” just less than a year after I graduated high school.

My music influences range from the soulful guitar playing prowess of Randy Rhoads, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Uli Jon Roth, Eddie Van Halen, Akira Takasaki, Jimmy Page, Brian May, Neil Schon, Carlos Santana, Pepe Romero, David Gilmour and Michael Schenker to the songwriting and vocal talent of Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Journey, Pink Floyd, Soundgarden U2, Muse, QOTSA, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica... to name a few!
